On Wednesday, February 2, 2011, we celebrated groundhog day. The kiddos were very excited to vote to see whether or not Punxsutawney Phil would see his shadow. In the slide, you will see that the class split half way on their votings. After talking about what groundhog day is and then making our predictions, I logged online to see if Phil saw his shadow. It was reported that he did not. Then we made some groundhog art activities. The students learned a lot about groundhog day and seemed to really enjoy learning new information.
